The Strategic Goals Initiative is an undertaking by the Metal Finishing Industry. Where by we as a metal finisher will go beyond compliance and introduce less into our environment then Federal or State regulations call for. This program is unique to the Nation and the Metal Finishers throughout the United States have determined that we will make this work. We are going beyond the command and control way of regulations to better the environment. Presently, we have enlisted the support of Federal EPA, 17 State's EPA, and a number of public utilities. We also are enlisting the involvement in non government organizations (Environmental Groups) to join in this effort to have an input into this initiative.

Thursday, May 10, 2001, New Brunswick Plating was honored to be recognized as a covenant member of the New Jersey DEP Silver Track Program.

Acceptance into this distinguished program signifies demonstrable and measurable commitment to improved environmental performance, coupled with an appropriate level of monitoring, reporting and oversight by the Department.

It is DEP's belief that businesses should focus on pollution prevention, energy conservation, the use of innovative technologies recycling, and good environmental performance. Entry into Silver Track demonstrates a commitment to advanced environmental protection and continuous performance improvement.

The Silver Track program will aid in developing a better understanding of the environment and to solve the challenges facing us now and in the future.
